Geographical location

Forstmühle is located in the Regensburg region, about 3 kilometers southeast of Altenthann am Otterbach on the 2145 state road .

history

Forstmühle was a sawmill on the edge of the Donaustauf forest. Hence its name is derived. Forstmühle was first mentioned in writing in 1466 when Parsifal Zenger donated 1 pound Regensburg pfennig from her earnings for the benefit at St. Michael's altar in Altenthann. It belonged to the Lichtenwald court and was also referred to as Mühl zu Altenthann. In 1498 it was considered an accessory to Lichtenwald and appeared in Adlmannstein's pen register in 1560 . In 1610 the single-layer forest mill is withdrawn from the Donaustauf district court .

As of March 23, 1913 (Easter), Forstmühle belonged to the Altenthann parish and had 9 houses and 68 residents.

On December 31, 1990, Forstmühle had 76 inhabitants and belonged to the parish Altenthann.
