Fortuyn / O'Brien was a Dutch-British artist duo .

The duo existed from 1983 to 1988. They were the following people:

Life and exhibitions

In 1986 the artist duo took part in the exhibition Sonsbeek '86 in Arnhem and in 1988 in the Biennale di Venezia . After O'Brien's death in 1988, Irene Fortuyn continued to work under the duo's previous name. In 1991 she had a solo exhibition Marble Public at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. In 1992 she took part in documenta IX in Kassel . Later that year, the exhibition Have a Nice Day followed in the entrance hall of the Center for Contemporary Art in Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw , Poland .

Irene Fortuyn has only used her own name since 2005. She lives and works today in Amsterdam and is a lecturer at the Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten in The Hague .
