The European Forum Alpbach has been held annually in August in the Tyrolean mountain village of Alpbach since 1945 . program

Congress Center Alpbach

The program is divided into several large parts:

Seminar week

Up to 16 seminars are devoted to various scientific and artistic disciplines. In each seminar, a key topic is discussed and developed over six half-days with scientists and artists. The Alpbach seminars are organized by the Board of Trustees of the European Forum Alpbach under the direction of Peter Christian Aichelburg, University of Vienna. The seminar week is used for interdisciplinary discussions and offers the opportunity for discussions with scientists. The atmosphere outside of established research facilities and the participation of scientists from different disciplines in the seminars are intended to promote discourse with the participation of the participants. Plenary events on scientific, political and economic topics round off the program.
