Frédéric Veseli (born November 20, 1992 in Renens ) is a Swiss - Albanian football player . He has been under contract with FC Empoli since August 2016 .

Career

After having worked for various clubs in England for a long time , Veseli moved to FC Lugano in the Super League in 2015 for a sum of 450,000 euros . A year later he went to Serie A for FC Empoli on a free transfer . The second half of the 2019/20 season was awarded to the French second division club Le Mans FC .

National team

When the Albanian national team had already qualified for the 2016 European Football Championship in France, Frédéric Veseli, who had played for Switzerland up to the U-21, was brought to Albania and on November 16, 2015 against Georgia for the first time as a central defender in one used the entire game and later tested again as a right-back. At the EM he was included in the Albanian squad . He was only used in the second game. After being substituted in in the final minutes, the French scored both goals for their 2-0 win.
