Francesco Branciamore

Francesco Branciamore (born March 3, 1956 in Siracusa ) is an Italian jazz musician ( drums , percussion , composition).

Branciamore has been a musician since 1979; he took lessons from Bruno Biriaco, Andrea Centazzo , Pierre Favre and Tony Oxley . In 1986 he joined the percussion unit by Ray Mantilla on. In 1987 he was in the recording studio for the first time, with the Sicilian singer Carlo Muratori ( Afrodite , RCA). The following year he released his debut album Flash in Four (Splasc (h) Records) with Carlo Actis Dato as a guest musician. Two years later he founded the December Thirty Jazz Trio with pianist Giorgio Occhipinti and bassist Giuseppe Guarrella. In 1991 it recorded two albums, including Concert For Ibla (Splas (h) Records) with Pino Minafra as a guest musician; The New Street in Old City (CMC Records) followed in 1992 and Free for 2 (Jazzhalo) in 2003 . For the next few years, Branciamore worked with the Giuseppe Guarrella Project and Carlo Cattano. In 1997 Caligola Records released his solo project Meloritmoarmonica (electronics and drums). After recordings with his Nomade Quartetto , the Improvisations of the Four Seasons with his Quartet Trade d'Union and other combos under his name followed in 2000 . He has also worked with Lee Konitz , Evan Parker , Barre Phillips , Keith Tippett , Jean-Marc Montera , Wim Mertens , Arkady Shilkloper , Enrico Rava , Gianluigi Trovesi , Paolo Fresu , Gianni Gebbia , Giancarlo Schiaffini , Salvatore Bonafede and Vinny Golia .

Branciamore teaches arrangement and jazz composition at the Bari Conservatory. He wrote numerous music for theater and film compositions.
