Francisco Lerma Martínez IMC (born May 4, 1944 in El Palmar , Murcia , Spain ; † April 24, 2019 in Maputo , Mozambique ) was a Spanish religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Gurué .

Life

Francisco Lerma Martínez joined the religious order of Consolata Missionaries on October 2, 1966 , made profession on October 2, 1969 , and was ordained a priest on December 20, 1969 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Gurué on March 24, 2010 . The bishop of Xai-Xai , Lucio Andrice Muandula , donated him episcopal ordination on May 30 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Francisco Chimoio OFMCap , Archbishop of Maputo , and Jaime Pedro Gonçalves , Archbishop of Beira . The inauguration in the Diocese of Gurué took place on June 13 of the same year.
