Frank-Thomas Mende
Frank-Thomas Mende (born October 21, 1949 in Annaberg-Buchholz in the Ore Mountains , then GDR ) is a German actor , director and translator .
After studying English , German , theater studies and philosophy in Marburg , Vienna , London , Boston (degree “ Magister Artium ” in Marburg) and acting classes in Stuttgart , London and the USA , he was a. a. at the theaters in Stuttgart, Dortmund , Gießen , Mainz , Wiesbaden and Hamburg ( Thalia Theater ) and Renaissance-Theater Berlin (also as a dramaturge and director). Since 1983 he has been a freelance actor with guest roles at many German theaters. He also appeared on television in numerous television games and series.
Since 1992, he played in RTL - soap opera Gute Zeiten (short GZSZ ) the role of Clemens Richter . He has been there since the first episode and on May 11, 1992 uttered the first sentence in the first German daily series: “What is it?”. In September 2009 he announced that he no longer wanted to extend his contract, which expired in 2010. Since July 2010 he has been working as a freelance actor again and was on tour in 2010 and 2012 in the title role of Ben Jonsons Volpone . In August 2011 he briefly returned to GZSZ for a guest appearance . He also works as a successful translator and arranger of theater plays of so far 86 dramas from the Anglo-American area and directed (among other things, the series Unter Uns, also produced for RTL ).
He played the lead role of Hank in the 2004 mystery film Lord of the Undead .
