Frank Quilitzsch

Frank Quilitzsch (born June 21, 1957 in Halle (Saale) ) is a German journalist and writer .

Life

Frank Quilitzsch is the son of a GDR diplomat . Frank Quilitzsch grew up temporarily with his grandparents in Mühlbeck , and received his school education in Moscow , Potsdam-Babelsberg and Falkensee . From 1976 to 1978 he did his military service in the National People's Army from, and from 1978 studied it Germanistik at the University of Jena . He completed this course with the degree of a Diplom-Germanist. A research degree followed . In 1985 Quilitzsch received his doctorate with a dissertation on Anna Seghers at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena. In addition, he worked as a research assistant at the University of Jena . From 1987 to 1988 he taught German at a GDR cultural institution in Damascus , and from 1989 to 1990 he was lecturer for German language and literature at Nanjing University in China . Since 1991 he has been part of the culture department of the Thuringian national newspaper . Quilitzsch lives today in Nohra-Ulla near Weimar .

Frank Quilitzsch is the author of numerous reports , feature articles and interviews . He had already started writing fantastic scientific texts as a teenager ; in the meantime his literary work mainly includes stories , travelogues and cultural-historical essays . Frank Qulitzsch is a member of the Association of German Writers .
