Franz Theodor von Prondzinski (born February 1, 1785 in Gotzkau , district of Schlochau ; † June 13, 1852 ibid) was a Prussian lieutenant general and a gentleman in Gotzkau.

Life

His parents were the master of Gotzkau Franz Albrecht von Prondzinski and his wife Eleonore, née von Morgenstern-Trzebiatowski.

Military career

Prondzinski entered on March 1, 1798 as a private corporal in the infantry regiment "von Langen" of the Prussian army and advanced to October 1804 to secondary lieutenant . In the Fourth Coalition War he was wounded near Halle and fought near Criwitz, Lychen and Lübeck .

After the Peace of Tilsit , Prondzinski was aggregated to the 2nd East Prussian Infantry Regiment on May 5th, 1809 , but on August 9th, 1809 he received his departure and returned to his Gotzlau estate. In the run-up to the Wars of Liberation , on March 20, 1813, he was re-employed as captain in the 1st West Prussian Landwehr Infantry Regiment and commanded as an adjutant to General von Jeanneret . He took part in the sieges of Torgau and Magdeburg and fought near Luckau , Dahme, Torgau and Coswig. On March 1, 1813, he was assigned to the 1st West Prussian Landwehr Infantry Regiment, but left on October 8, 1814.

On June 21, 1815, Prondzinski was transferred to the 2nd West Prussian Landwehr Infantry Regiment and on January 9, 1816 as a company commander in the 32nd Infantry Regiment . There he became major on June 28, 1820 and battalion commander on March 19, 1821. In the same capacity, he was transferred to the 21st Infantry Regiment on December 15, 1825 . On March 30, 1837 he was promoted to lieutenant colonel by patent from April 15, 1837 . Prondzinski was commissioned on March 30, 1838 to lead the regiment, and from June 1, 1838, he was also the director of the divisional school of the 4th Division as well as the president of the examinations committee for portepeefens. On January 24, 1839 he was appointed regimental commander and in this position was promoted to colonel on March 30, 1839 . After Prondzinski had been released on September 10, 1842 from the management of the school, he was transferred to the 1st Infantry Brigade on March 22, 1843 as commander and on June 12, 1843 aggregated to the 21st Infantry Regiment. On March 22, 1845 he was promoted to major general. In the same year he became a deputy of the knighthood of the Flatow and Schlochau districts in Danzig and in 1847 a member of the United State Parliament in Berlin.

On May 13, 1848 he was transferred to the Königsberg Fortress as commandant and was awarded the Order of the Red Eagle, 2nd class with oak leaves. As early as July 25, 1848, Prondzinski took his leave with the character of lieutenant general and the statutory pension . He died on the night of June 12th to 13th, 1852 in Gotzkau, where he was buried on June 16, 1852.

family

Prondzinski married on July 30, 1812 in Peterkau, Rosenberg district in West Prussia, Dorothea Karoline Schmidt (1790-1840), the eldest daughter of the manor owner Schmidt zu Klein-Rechlau. The couple had several children:

After the death of his first wife, he married on June 4, 1844 in Fritzow, Kolberg-Körlin district, Ida Angelika Henriette Karoline Ulrike Cäcilie von Falkenhayn (1810–1886), widow of Adalbert Schroeder († 1841). The daughter Ida Therese Klara Sophie (1845–1929) emerged from the marriage and married Ernst von Münchow (1833–1890) in 1864 .
