Friend or foe. A thriller from Passau (working title: Der Passau-Krimi: Freund oder Feind ) is a German television film from 2020 by Maurice Hübner with Marie Leuenberger and Michael Ostrowski . The premiere was on August 7, 2020 in the run-up to the 8th Kitzbühel Film Festival in the open-air cinema series Picnic and Crime in the presence of the film team. The first broadcast of the crime film in the first is planned for October 1, 2020 as part of the Thursday crime in the first, the film is to be published in the ARD media library on September 28, 2020. A police officer from Berlin who testified against an Arab clan boss is starting a new life in Passau with her daughter under a new identity and supervised by witness protection . The policewoman is now called Frederike Bader, her daughter Mia Bader.

In Passau, Frederike meets a dubious private detective who could blow her cover. Daughter Mia, on the other hand, misses her old home and friends and secretly makes contact again. However, this reveals the whereabouts of the two women.

Production and Background

The shooting took place from February 14th to March 14th, 2019, and the shooting took place in Munich and Passau .

The film was produced by Hager Moss Film GmbH (producers Kirsten Hager and Carmen Stozek) on behalf of Bayerischer Rundfunk and ARD Degeto .

Marion Bergmann was responsible for the costume design, Anette Ingerl for the production, Daniel Seiler for the sound, Christine Bernrieder and Nadine Scherer for the mask and Franziska Aigner for the casting.
