Michael Illner

Michael Illner (* 1962 in East Berlin ) is a German screenwriter and Adolf Grimme Prize winner . For several years now, he has also preferred the new married name Michael Vershinin for scriptwriting information.

Life

Illner was born in the Berlin district of Köpenick in 1962 . From August 1990 to December 1991 he hosted the regional show Landesschau für Brandenburg with Andrea Kiewel . In 1993 Illner received the national German Crime Prize together with Leo P. Ard for the crime thriller mixed doubles . Together they also received the Adolf Grimme Prize with gold for the episode Totes Gleis of the TV crime series Polizeiruf 110 (together with Bernd Böhlich , Otto Sander and Ben Becker ). The crime series Balko was created based on an idea by Leo P. Ard and Michael Illner. Other longstanding co-authors are Scarlett Kleint and Alfred Roesler-Kleint. For the German television film Kiss me, Comrade! from 2007 Illner wrote the script together with Rodica Doehnert . The author has credits for over 200 series episodes and over 40 TV films.

From 1988 to 2007 he was married to the journalist and television presenter Maybrit Illner . In 2012 he married the Russian music teacher and pianist Natasha Vershinina.
