Friedbert Karger (born May 4, 1940 in Munich ) is a German plasma physicist who studied paranormal phenomena worldwide .

Life

Karger studied physics , philosophy and psychology at the Technical University of Munich and the Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich from 1959 to 1966 . He received his PhD in physics in 1967. From 1963 he worked at the Max Planck Institute for Physics and Astrophysics in Freimann , and from 1967 at the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics in Garching near Munich . Since 1980 he has been an experiment leader in Garching and a consultant in North and South America , Africa and Asia .

In addition to his forty years of research in thermonuclear fusion , he has been conducting paraphysical investigations in an international context since 1960 , which have taken him to the most remote areas of the world. In doing so he provided - so his statement - for the first time the physically secured evidence of spontaneous psychokinesis . He advocates the thesis that after the death of a person “the soul or the spirit continues to exist in a “subtle level” . He claims to have collected scientific evidence "that the consciousness of a person, his personality or his" I "survived the death of his body in a different state, a" different world "." That is why Karger was chosen in September 2005 for ORF -TV The program Mystery asked about the alleged curse of the glacier mummy Ötzi , according to which at least six people died of an unnatural death within 14 years after contact with Ötzi. The spook expert was quoted as follows in this case: It is difficult for a physicist to prove a curse, because the statistical accumulation of deaths is too low for that.

Karger gave more than 300 lectures worldwide and worked as a consultant (explanation about the afterlife, advice on the development of mind and consciousness, warning of the dangers of esoteric techniques). In the field of paranormal phenomena, he was involved as a physicist in cases that caused sensation around the world. In 1964 he met Friedrich Jürgenson and in 1967 he carried out the physical investigation of the Poltergeist of Rosenheim , which caused a worldwide sensation. In 1972, he tested at the request of the BILD newspaper with Uri Geller during a guest performance in Munich which allegedly telepathic powers. About his investigation, Karger later said, “Based on preliminary investigations into Uri, I cannot find any fraud. This man's forces are a phenomenon that theoretical physics cannot yet explain. ” In January 1997, he examined the“ Magnetic Man ” Miroslaw Magola . Karger also dealt in depth with Filipino psychosurgery . On site he found evidence of real paraphysical phenomena.

He is a member of the Research Society for Eastern Wisdom and Western Science , the Institute of Noetic Sciences ( California ) and the German Physical Society . Karger wrote various publications in professional journals.
