Friedrich August Paris (born March 30, 1811 in Berlin , † September 29, 1893 in Dessau ) was a Prussian major general .

Life

origin

Paris was a member of a middle-class family. His parents were the calculator and accountant Friedrich Paris and Friederike Wilhelmine Auguste Zorn.

Career

He began his career in the Prussian Army in 1828 as a rifleman in the Guard Rifle Battalion and in 1829 became a portepee ensign . In 1830 he was aggregated second lieutenant , was the 1831 39th Infantry Regiment aggregated and 1833 ibid. Einrangiert. Paris married Elfriede Adelheid Emma Marie von Hoffmannswaldau (1833–1914) in Frankfurt am Main in 1854 .

Works

In 1872, in association with H. Perizonius in Berlin, ES Mittler & Sohn published his 260-page work Taktik based on the "genetic sketch" prescribed for the Royal Prussian War Schools .

Another title he wrote was The formal regulations for the exercise and rifle service of infantry and hunters , published by Max Mälzer in Breslau in 1874.
