Friedrich Bogislav von Schwerin , also Friedrich Bogislaw von Schwerin , (born August 30, 1674 in Berlin ; † October 1, 1747 ibid.) Was a Prussian Minister of State and War.

Origin and family

Friedrich Bogislav von Schwerin was a member of the noble family von Schwerin and heir of 1684 from his father, the chamberlain and chief stable master of the great elector , Henning Bernd von Schwerin (1631–1704), acquired manor Märkisch Wilmersdorf , with that 1701 inherited from Friedrich I. was enfeoffed . Career

Schwerin became the Prussian head stable master in 1728, an office that his father had already filled before him and his son after him, with the rank of budget minister. From 1739 he was a secret budget councilor and at the same time first chamberlain . On June 12, 1740 he became a Knight of the Order of the Black Eagle . He was also the protector of the Academy of Sciences . Johann Nepomuk von Schaffgotsch (1713–1775) was his successor as minister and head stable master in November 1747.

On his genetic Märkisch Wilmersdorf Schwerin was at the beginning of the 18th century a new, prestigious three-winged manor house in a U shape with hip roofs built. In 1746 he also had the church rebuilt and a rectangular crypt annex built across the width of the nave on the east side of the church.
