Friedrich Clermont

Friedrich Clermont (born April 5, 1934 in Flensburg ; † January 4, 2011 in Satow ) was a German politician ( SED ). He was a member of the State Council of the GDR .

Life

Clermont comes from a Huguenot family and was the son of a farmer. He attended elementary school and from 1953 to 1956 the agricultural college in Teterow , from which he graduated as a "state-certified farmer". In 1956 he worked as an agronomist in the machine-tractor station in Prenzlau . From 1957 to 1968 he was chairman of the LPG “IV. Party Congress ”in Klinkow and from 1969 head of the cooperative plant production department in Dedelow . From 1964 to 1969, Clermont qualified as a qualified farmer through distance learning at the Humboldt University in Berlin .

In 1951 he joined the FDJ and in 1954 the SED. From 1961 he worked as a community representative and council member in Klinkow. From 1962 to 1976 he was a member of the SED district leadership in Neubrandenburg . In 1963 he became a member of the People's Chamber , to which he belonged until 1976. From 1966 he was a member of the Committee for Agriculture, Forestry and Food Management. From November 1971 to October 1976 Clermont was a member of the State Council.

From 1974 to 1980 he was chairman of the LPG “VIII. Party Congress ”in Dedelow, from 1980 as chairman of the LPG in Satow - Kogel . From 1991 to 1997 he was an employee of the Continental Grain Company for Mecklenburg . In 1997 he retired.
