Krancke died in Hanover on December 6, 1852. In his honor, a five-meter-high grave monument was erected in the garden cemetery , which has the following inscription :

“Rest gently now here united in death
Much filial love Weeping quietly,
And many a blessing.
We will pull you
up there in the earth course Towards the Peace of Heaven, Towards
the reunion. "

In the vernacular, however, this funerary saying was also created:

"Tired of calculating, I am now lying in the grave
and will break up;
if I have not miscalculated,
then one day I will be resurrected! "

Honors

The Kranckestrasse in Hannover-List , laid out in 1929, was named after the city school inspector .
