Fritzleo Liertz

Fritzleo Liertz , sometimes referred to as Fritz Leo Liertz , (born May 30, 1896 in Düsseldorf , † after 1975) was a German actor , radio play and voice actor .

Life

Born in Düsseldorf, Liertz first completed his artistic training in Cologne and then attended the Theater Art Academy of the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus for a year, where he was a classmate of Gustaf Gründgens , Paul Kemp , Til Klokow and Walter Oehmichen . As a theater actor, he played very successfully humorous parts on various stages from Düsseldorf to Würzburg and was also active as a director, for example in Würzburg.

Liertz was a rare guest in film and television productions. His rare appearances include those in Willy Millowitsch Schneider-Wibbel production in 1959, in Gerhard Klingenberg's adaptation of Theodor Fontane Unterm Birnbaum and in the Sherlock Holmes series on WDR with Erich Schellow in the title role.

In addition, Liertz worked long and extensively as a speaker and actor for radio, especially at WDR. Liertz also worked as a voice actor and lent his voice to Edgar Kennedy in Dick and Doof - Ganz doof (German version 1963), James C. Morton in Dick and Doof in the Wild West (German version 1952) and C. Montague Shaw in Dick and Doof as recruits (German version 1952).
