Froben Ferdinand Dominik Christoph zu Fürstenberg-Mößkirch (born August 6, 1664 in Meßkirch ; † April 4, 1741 ) was the third ruling Prince of Fürstenberg from 1716 and from 1726 to 1735 Imperial Principal Commissioner at the Reichstag in Regensburg .

Froben Ferdinand was born as the son of Count Franz Christoph zu Fürstenberg-Mößkirch (* July 28, 1625 - September 22, 1671) and Maria Therese von Arenberg and Aerschot (* April 22, 1639 - January 18, 1705). After the death of his father, the guardianship lay with his mother and his uncle Froben Maria von Fürstenberg-Mößkirch .

He began his studies with the Jesuits in Cologne in 1675 . In Prague he studied philosophy and in Würzburg and lions law. In 1685 his guardian Froben Maria died and the emperor declared him of legal age and also transferred the guardianship of his younger siblings to him.

Froben Ferdinand was first conductor in 1687 and shortly afterwards director of the Swabian Imperial Counts College ; In 1688 he was appointed Reichshofrat .

As early as 1700, Emperor Leopold appointed him a Real Privy Councilor . In 1703 he became governor of the Austrian foreland , in 1716 imperial prince and in 1718 imperial chamber judge - an office that he held until 1721. In 1721 he became a knight of the Order of the Golden Fleece .

In 1726 he became principal commissioner at the Reichstag in Regensburg and moved with his family to Regensburg. In this position he succeeded Cardinal Christian August von Sachsen-Zeitz .
