Fujikawaguchiko ( Japanese 富士 河口湖 町 , - machi ) is a city in Minamitsuru district in the Japanese prefecture of Yamanashi .

Lake Kawaguchi ( Kawaguchi-ko ), Saiko , Lake Shōji and the eastern half of Lake Motosu , i.e. H. four of the Five Fuji Lakes are in the municipal area. The city center is located on Lake Kawaguchi, which is a well-known attraction and a popular recreational area for the people of Tokyo .

The extensive Aokigahara forest area is also located in the municipality .
