Fuefuki ( Japanese 笛 吹 市 , - shi ) is a city in Yamanashi Prefecture in Japan .

Fuefuki is east of Kofu and west of Ōtsuki .
history
The city was founded on October 12, 2004 through the merger of the Chō Ichinomiya ( 一 宮 町 , -chō ), Isawa ( 石 和 町 , -chō ), Misaka ( 御 坂 町 , -chō ), Yatsushiro ( 八 代 町 , -chō ) and des Mura Sakaigawa ( 境 川村 , -mura ) from the Higashiyatsushiro-gun , as well as the Chō Kasugai ( 春日 居 町 , -chō ) from the Higashiyamanashi-gun . With the incorporation of the Mura Ashigawa ( 境 川村 , -mura ) from the Higashiyatsushiro-gun on August 1, 2006, this was dissolved.
