The Götgesbach , alternatively also known as Göttchesbach and in the upper reaches as Schlossbach , is a left tributary of the Endeicher Bach in Bonn . It has a length of 4.9 km.

course

The Göttchesbach rises as a castle stream south of the forester's house Kottenforst in the Bonn district of Röttgen and flows off in a northerly direction. The stream crosses mostly forest area, but also loosened settlement areas and agricultural land. To the south of Ückesdorf , the water takes the Olligsbach on the left and changes its name to Göttchesbach.

The stream finally flows into the Katzenlochbach south of the university's geodetic practice field . The mouth, like the source, is located just inside the bird sanctuary and FFH area, the Kottenforst forest reserve with Waldville , which includes the former Katzenlochbachtal nature reserve .

The Göttchesbach overcomes a height difference of 69 meters during its flow section, resulting in an average bed gradient of 14.1 ‰.

Characteristic

The body of water generally appears as a near-natural, meandering and structurally rich stream within a forest area. In the upper course, however, it has also been straightened in parts and there are no woodland along the riverbank. The stream also temporarily dries up in the upper reaches.
