Günter Mack
Günter Mack (born December 12, 1930 in Augsburg , † March 27, 2007 in Groebenzell ) was a German actor .
Life
Günter Mack was born on December 12, 1930 in Augsburg. After the city was bombed in World War II , Mack and other classmates were taken to Darmstadt's house in June 1944 , where he first came into contact with amateur theater groups. Classmates included Walter Schellemann and Wilhelm Girstenbrey. After leaving school, he wanted to become a professional actor. However , in 1948 he had to leave the renowned Otto Falckenberg School in Munich after a few months due to a lack of talent . Instead, he studied at a private drama school in Munich.
In 1949 he had his first engagement at the municipal theaters in Augsburg . In the 1950s Mack played at the Landestheater Coburg , the Städtische Bühnen Münster and the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern. He spent the 1960s at the Volksschauspiele Ötigheim , the Städtische Bühnen Heidelberg , the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden , the Freie Volksbühne Berlin and the Schauspielhaus Bochum . From 1969 until his death in 2007 Günter Mack was a freelance actor and lived in Gröbenzell near Munich.
Since the beginning of the 1960s he has worked in around 150 television productions, most recently on ZDF in the series Unter ein Dach and Alle mein Töchter .
Günter Mack died of cancer at the age of 76. His wife Wiltrud, mother of his daughter Susanne, died in 1996. He was buried next to her. After divorce from fellow actor Ulrike Luderer , he lived with Renate von Hagemeister until his death.
