history
Through the administrative reforms at the beginning of the 19th century in the Kingdom of Bavaria , the place became a part of the rural community Attel , which also includes the districts of Attlerau , Au , Edgarten , Elend , Gern , Heberthal , Kobl , Kornberg , Kroit , Limburg , Osterwies , Reisach , Reitmehring , Rottmoos , Seewies and Viehhausen belonged. As part of the municipal reform in Bavaria in the 1970s, Gabersee was incorporated into the city of Wasserburg in 1978, together with most of the municipality of Attel. In 2012 Gabersee had 347 inhabitants.
