history

As a result of the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , the place became an independent rural community, which also includes the districts of Attlerau , Au , Edgarten , Elend , Gabersee , Gern , Heberthal , Kobl , Kornberg , Kroit , Limburg , Osterwies , Reisach , Reitmehring , Rottmoos , Seewies , Staudham and Viehhausen belonged. In the course of the municipal territorial reform in Bavaria carried out in the 1970s , the municipality of Attel was incorporated into the city of Wasserburg in 1978, together with most of its districts.
