The solitude of Osterwies is part of the town of Wasserburg am Inn in the Upper Bavarian district of Rosenheim .

Osterwies is located about three and a half kilometers west-northwest of Wasserburg and lies at an altitude of about 500  m above sea level. NHN .

history

The place, created in the 19th century, became part of the independent rural community of Attel . This came about with the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century and it also included the districts of Attlerau , Au , Edgarten , Elend , Gabersee , Gern , Heberthal , Kobl , Kornberg , Kroit , Limburg , Reisach , Reitmehring , Rottmoos , Seewies , Staudham and Viehhausen . In the course of the municipal territorial reform carried out in Bavaria in the 1970s , Osterwies was incorporated into the city of Wasserburg in 1978 together with most of the municipality of Attel. In 2012 Osterwies had seven residents.
