The hamlet of Au is part of the town of Wasserburg am Inn in the Upper Bavarian district of Rosenheim .

Au is about four and a half kilometers southwest of Wasserburg and lies at an altitude of 490  m above sea level. NHN .

history

Due to the administrative reforms in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , the place became part of the rural community of Attel , which also includes the districts of Attlerau , Edgarten , Elend , Gabersee , Gern , Heberthal , Kobl , Kornberg , Kroit , Limburg , Osterwies , Reisach , Reitmehring , Rottmoos , Seewies , Staudham and Viehhausen belonged. In the course of the municipal regional reform in Bavaria in the 1970s, Au was incorporated into the city of Wasserburg in 1978 together with most of the municipality of Attel. In 2012 Au had twelve inhabitants.
