Gabriel Antoine Obertan (born February 26, 1989 in Pantin ) is a French football player . The midfielder is under contract with Büyükşehir Belediye Erzurumspor .

Career

society

Obertan went through the youth departments of Paris FC (2002-2003), Paris Saint-Germain (2003-2004) and Clairefontaine (2004-2005) before moving to Bordeaux in the summer of 2005. Since the 2006/07 season he has been on the professional squad of Girondins Bordeaux . He played his first game on September 30, 2006, when he came on in the 76th minute against Valenciennes FC . He scored his first goal on April 22, 2007 against AS Saint-Étienne . For the 2009/10 season he moved to Manchester United and received a three-year contract. In August 2011 Newcastle United signed Obertan. He signed a five-year contract until June 30, 2016.

In the winter transfer period 2018/19 Obertan was signed by the Turkish first division club Büyükşehir Belediye Erzurumspor .

National team

Obertan played for several youth national teams in France. He completed ten games (one goal) for the U-16s and twelve games (three goals) for the U-17 juniors. Until 2010 he played for the U-21 team.
