Gilles Sunu (born March 30, 1991 in Châteauroux ) is a French football player of Togolese origin. The striker is under contract with Büyükşehir Belediye Erzurumspor in the Süper Lig and won the European title in 2010 with the French U-19 national team .
Career
societies
Sunu played in his youth at LB Châteauroux before signing a four-year contract with the English club Arsenal in March 2007, valid from the summer of that year . There he moved up to the reserve team and was occasionally used in the professional team when he played as a substitute in the Champions League 2009/10 against the Greek club Olympiacos or in the Carling Cup against West Bromwich Albion . Thanks to his good performance, he aroused the interest of other clubs and Arsenal FC loaned the junior player to Derby County in the Football League Championship from February 2010 . In March he finally extended his contract with the "Gunners". Thanks to further good performances in the reserve team of Arsenal FC, he was awarded in February 2011 to the French first division club FC Lorient for half a year, from which he was then firmly committed. In February 2015, Sunu moved to league rivals FC Évian Thonon Gaillard . At the end of the season he left the club to sign with the first division promoted SCO Angers .
After three years at SCO Angers, Sunu moved to the Süper Lig to Büyükşehir Belediye Erzurumspor .
National team
In 2008 Sunu was in the final of the U-17 European Championship with the French U-17 national team , but lost 4-0 to the Spanish youth there . In the summer of 2010, Sunu took part with the French U-19 national team in the U-19 European Championship 2010 in their own country. In four games in which he scored a goal, he contributed to winning the title. After the tournament was slowed down by cartilage damage , he returned to the football field in October for the Arsenal reserve team.
