Gedsted is a Danish town with 851 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in western Himmerland . The village has been part of the Vesthimmerlands Municipality in the Nordjylland region since the 2007 municipal reform . Before that she was part of the Aalestrup municipality in the Viborg office .
Gedsted is about eleven kilometers west of Aalestrup , about eleven kilometers south of Farsø and about 30 km north of Viborg .
The blue cheese blue cornflower is made in the Gedsted dairy.
