Ranum is a Danish town with 979 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in western Himmerland . The village has been part of the Vesthimmerlands Municipality in the Nordjylland region since the 2007 municipal reform . Before that she was part of the Løgstør municipality in the North Jutland department .
Ranum is about 8 km south of Løgstør , about 15 km north of Farsø and about 20 km northwest of Aars .
Vitskøl Monastery is to the south of Ranum . The church in Ranum was built in 1909, the twin towers in 1931.
