The Geneva stream is a nearly ten kilometer long, orographically right tributary of the Urft in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany in the area of the communities Blankenheim and Nettersheim .

The Geneva stream rises about one kilometer northwest of Mülheim in the area of the municipality of Blankenheim . The source is at an altitude of 551 m above sea level. NHN near the federal highway 51 . From here the stream flows east along the main road. After about one kilometer it swings north and takes in several, partly unnamed tributaries. After the Jammerbach flows in from the left, it changes its direction almost to the west through the Genevabachtal nature reserve southeast of Nettersheim . In Nettersheim it flows around the Schelgesberg ( 503.4 m above sea level ), swiveling at a right angle to the north. There it takes up the Sitertsiefen from the right, at the mouth of which it changes its course again to the west, shortly afterwards it flows into the Rur tributary Urft coming from the south .
Catchment area
The catchment area of the Geneva stream is 20.1 km² and drains into the North Sea via Urft, Rur, Maas and Hollands Diep.
