Geoffrey Lungwangwa

Geoffrey Lungwangwa (* 1953 ) is a politician in Zambia .

Geoffrey Lungwangwa is Professor of Educational Administration and Policy Studies at the School of Education at the University of Zambia , of which he was first Deputy (2004), then Vice Chancellor. In a strike in mid-August 2004, the Zambia Lecturers and Researchers Union (UNZALU) demanded his and the Vice Chancellor's resignation because of "manipulation and dictatorial tendencies".

Geoffrey Lungwangwa has published on labor law in Zambia (2004), population growth and environmental protection and street children in Zambia (1992) and has given numerous lectures at national and international congresses.

In the 2006 election in Zambia , he won the mandate in the Nalikwanda constituency west of Mongu in the National Assembly .

Geoffrey Lungwangwa has been Minister of Education since October 2006.
