Claver Silavwe

Claver Silavwe is a politician in Zambia .

Claver Silavwe was Minister of the Copperbelt Province in 2004 , then Minister of the Northern Province until October 2006, where he obviously had a difficult time and could hardly overcome the existing structures. In November 2006, he was accused of drug trafficking, money laundering and failure to pay for a number of nights in lodges.

In the 2006 election in Zambia , Claver Silavwe was able to win the mandate of the Nakonde constituency in the National Assembly for the Movement for Multiparty Democracy . In October 2006 he was reappointed Minister of the Northern Province . In November 2006, President Levy Mwanawasa revoked this appointment.
