Sylvia Masebo is a Zambian politician .

Sylvia Masebo was a prominent founding member of the Movement for Multiparty Democracy , which she left disaffected in December 1998. She went into opposition to the National Pressure Group , the Zambia Republic Party , formed the Zambia Alliance for Progress, and then the Zambian Democratic Congress . She politically attacked Frederick Chiluba and suffered from arbitrariness. On April 13, 1999 , her farm, Ibex Hill, was searched for seven hours by the drug search.

Sylvia Masebo is a member of the National Assembly of Zambia for Chongwe . Since 2001 she has been Minister for Local Government and Real Estate with a short break as Minister of Health in October 2005 until the 2006 election in Zambia . They are responsible for the fast courts, before which street vendors in particular are tried, which gives rise to criticism. The drinking water supply, illegal settlements and social housing are also part of their business area - many areas that hardly work in Zambia. On November 6, 2006, she opened a training center for local councilors, from whom she demanded in her speech that they know the statutes for local government - whereupon the press recommended that she co-found a similar training center for parliamentarians.
