Georg Hess (politician, 1784)

Georg Ludwig Hess (born March 12, 1784 in Hiltersklingen ; † November 20, 1860 in Ober-Hiltersklingen ) was a Hessian economist and liberal politician and member of the 2nd Chamber of the Land estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Georg Hess was the son of the crown innkeeper and master baker Jakob Hess and his wife Elisabetha Margaretha. Hess, who was a Protestant, was an economist and miller in Hiltersklingen and on August 31, 1818 his first marriage was Anna Barbara. After the death of his first wife, he married Anna Maria nee Hörr (1801-1859).

From 1834 to 1834 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Starkenburg 7 / Heppenheim-Fürth . From 1812 to 1860 he was mayor of Hiltersklingen.
