Georg Kroll (entrepreneur)

Georg Kroll (born October 13, 1922 ; † February 12, 2015 ) was a German entrepreneur and 1977–1985 President of the Wuppertal-Solingen-Remscheid Chamber of Commerce and Industry .

Life

As an entrepreneur, Kroll was the general representative of the West German trading company Gebr. Sinn AG (merged in 1997 to SinnLeffers ) in Cologne and managing director of Braubach & Plitt GmbH (merged in 1974 to Cordes, Braubach & Plitt) in Wuppertal.

From 1961, Kroll began to volunteer at the Wuppertal Chamber of Commerce . In 1965 he was a member of the Presidium, and after the chambers of commerce in Wuppertal, Solingen and Remscheid merged in 1977 to form a joint chamber of commerce in the Bergisch city triangle, he was elected President of the IHK Wuppertal-Solingen-Remscheid. He handed over this office to Jörg Mittelsten Scheid in 1985 and was made honorary president for his outstanding achievements .

In addition, Kroll was a member of the board of directors of the German Association of Industry and Commerce (DIHT) for several years and worked for many years as an honorary labor and commercial judge .
