Georgeta Narcisa Lecuşanu (born September 14, 1976 in Bacau , Bacau County ) is a former Romanian handball player .

Career

Lecuşanu initially played in their homeland with Știința Bacău. Then the back court player played at the Macedonian club Kometal Gjorče Petrov Skopje , with whom she won the championship in 1997 and 1998. In 1998 Lecuşanu moved to Germany, where she went hunting for goals for Borussia Dortmund and TV Lützellinden . In 2001 she won the championship with Lützellinden. From 2002 the right-hander ran for the Danish association Ikast-Bording EH . After Lecuşanu won the European Cup Winners' Cup with Ikast in 2004 , she moved to league rivals Aalborg DH . From 2006, Lecuşanu threw its goals for the Romanian club CS Oltchim Râmnicu Vâlcea , with which they won the championship in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Lecuşanu played 116 international matches for the Romanian national team , in which they scored 302 goals. With the Romanian selection, she became vice world champion in 2005 and took part in the 2008 Olympic Games . She was part of the squad of her national association at the 2009 World Cup in China .

Lecuşanu was director of the Romanian women's national team from 2011. Between 2014 and 2016 she was Vice President of the Romanian Handball Federation. Between February 2016 and January 2017 she was State Secretary in the Ministry of Youth and Sport.
