The German Darts Masters (World Series) 2019 was a tournament in darts and was held for the third time by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) on July 12th and 13th . It was the second event of the 2019 World Series of Darts . The venue was the LANXESS Arena in Cologne .

The tournament victory was secured by the Scot Peter Wright , who prevailed in the final with 8: 6- legs against the German Gabriel Clemens .

format

A total of 16 players took part in the tournament. The field of participants consisted of the four best placed players of the PDC Order of Merit and four wildcard players. In addition, eight local players took part, who were able to qualify in advance via the world rankings ( Max Hopp and Martin Schindler ) and the Super League Darts Germany .

The tournament was played in a knockout system . Game mode in the first round was a best of 11 legs . Like the semi-finals and the final, the quarter-finals were held in the best of 15 legs mode.

Prize money

The tournament totaled £ 60,000 in prize money. The prize money was distributed among the participants as follows:
