List of the Germanic Wars
The list of Germanic wars is the chronological enumeration of acts of war between the Roman Empire and various Germanic associations between 220 BC. And 600 AD, that is from the time of the late republic to late antiquity and the time of the Great Migration . The nature of these wars varied between Roman conquests, Germanic uprisings and, from the late 2nd century onwards , Germanic invasions into the core of the empire, Italia . The series of conflicts and Roman civil wars led to the fall of the Western Roman Empire in the course of the Great Migration Period in the 5th century .
