Gerrit Wegkamp (born April 13, 1993 in Ochtrup ) is a German football player .

Career

societies

Wegkamp started playing football at the age of three at SV Suddendorf-Samern , a multi-discipline club from the Grafschaft Bentheim district . Via SV Bad Bentheim , he got into the youth department of VfL Osnabrück in spring 2010 , where he was initially used in the U-17 Bundesliga . In the 2010/11 season he played in the U-19 Bundesliga , in which he was the top scorer in the North / Northeast season with 20 goals at the end of the season. For the 2011/12 season Wegkamp moved up to the professional team.

On July 23, 2011 (1st matchday) he made his professional debut for VfL Osnabrück - still as a U19 player - in the 3rd division in a 1-0 win in the away game against SV Darmstadt 98 .
