Gert Nultsch

Gert Friedrich Nultsch is a major general of the Army of the Bundeswehr and the Military Vice President of the Federal Office for Equipment, Information Technology and Use of the Bundeswehr (BAAINBw) in Koblenz .

Military career

Training and first uses

Nultsch joined the German Armed Forces in 1983 and completed his training as an officer in the repair force by 1988, including a degree in mechanical engineering . From 1988 to 1990 he was a chief officer in the 2nd / Maintenance Battalion 12 in Walldürn . From 1990 to 1992 Nultsch was employed as a technical officer in the armored artillery battalion 365 in Walldürn and from 1992 to 1995 as a technical officer in the 12th artillery regiment in Tauberbischofsheim . From 1995 to 1996 he was employed as a company commander of the 2nd / Mountain Repair Battalion 8 in Volkach . From 1996 to 1998 Nultsch was a course participant in the 39th National Army General Staff Course at the Command Academy of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg , where he was trained as an officer in the General Staff Service .

Service as a staff officer

The first employment as a staff officer led Nultsch from 1998 to 2000 as a staff officer G 3 assignment in the logistics brigade 2 in Germersheim . From 2000 to 2002 he was policy officer  H II 1 (Bundeswehr planning; planning principles and procedures) in the army command staff . From 2002 to 2004 he held leadership responsibility as battalion commander of the 210 repair battalion in Volkach. From 2004 to 2006 he was again employed as staff officer G 4 Logistics in the Special Operations Division in Regensburg . From 2006 to 2008 Nultsch was employed as Head of Division I 5 in the Logistics Department in the Armed Forces Support Command in Cologne - Wahn . From 2008 to 2012 he was employed as a staff officer G 3 and department head HA III 1 (1) in the army armament division in the Army Office , also in Cologne. During this time Nultsch for six months as was Deputy Director CJ4 NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan and Chief of Staff Deputy Commander Support the headquarters of the NTM-A in Kabul ( Afghanistan ) in foreign assignment . From 2012 to 2014 he was Head of J 4 Logistics at the Bundeswehr Operations Command in Potsdam . From 2014 to 2017 he was employed as Head of Division FüSK III 1 / now FüSK I 4 (material readiness for action, principle of approval for aircraft) in the Federal Ministry of Defense at the headquarters in Bonn .

Service as a general

From 2017 to 2018 Nultsch was the successor to Brigadier General Michael Vetter , commander of the logistics center of the Bundeswehr in Wilhelmshaven . On this post he was promoted to brigadier general himself. In June 2018 he handed over the command to Colonel Klaus Frauenhoff . Since June 18, 2018, Nultsch has been the successor of Major General Klaus Veit , Military Vice President of the Federal Office for Equipment, Information Technology and Use of the Bundeswehr in Koblenz. This was accompanied by the promotion to major general.
