The Global Panel Foundation is an international non-governmental organization that was founded in 1989 by the Dutch entrepreneur Bas Spuybroek. It has had its headquarters in Berlin since 1997 . Other locations are Copenhagen , New York City , Ohio , Prague , Sydney and Toronto . It finances its activities exclusively through donations.

The Global Panel Foundation is an international grouping of representatives from the fields of public policy , business and science, acting mostly from the background . Its aim is to promote international cooperation with regard to decision-making and implementation processes.

To this end, she organizes public policy luncheons and dinners, student forums and initiatives . The purpose of these events is to offer their participants a framework for exchanging ideas and procedural strategies on current social issues.

  • Security, energy and environmental issues in the Black Sea region and the Middle East

In addition to awarding scholarships and research funds, the Global Panel Foundation has been presenting the Hanno R. Ellenbogen Citizenship Award since 2000 . This is awarded in cooperation with the Prague Society for International Cooperation to people for special social merits in Central and Eastern Europe. Previous winners have included Václav Havel and the Belarusian opposition leader Aljaksandr Milinkewitsch .

The Chairman of the Global Panel Foundation is Marc S. Ellenbogen . In addition to his position as chairman, Ellenbogen is also an advisory board member of the Democratic Party and vice-chairman of the Dexpat Leadership Council. He is also a columnist for United Press International operates and as a campaign advisor in Germany and a visiting professor of political science at Magdalen College of the University of Oxford . Elbow studied with the help of a Military Scholarship at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs in Syracuse , New York.

Vice-Chairman is Jürgen Chrobog , former State Secretary in the Federal Foreign Office .

The treasurer is Kai G. Klinger. Kurt Bodewig and Dieter Stöckmann are members of the supervisory board . Frederik Willem de Klerk , Boris Pankin and Sabine Leutheusser-Schnarrenberger serve as advisory boards .
