The Gmina Cieszanów is an urban-and-rural municipality in the powiat Lubaczowski of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city of the same name with around 1950 inhabitants.
geography
The municipality is located in the north-east of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship. Poland's state border with Ukraine runs about 15 kilometers to the east. The river Brusienka belongs to the waters .
history
From 1975 to 1998 the municipality was part of the Przemyśl Voivodeship .

The voivodship road DW865 runs in a north-south direction through the main town and municipality. This flows into the north at Tomaszów Lubelski in the European route 372 . In the south it leads via Oleszyce to Jarosław to European route 40 . The voivodship road DW863 begins in Cieszanów and ends after 65 kilometers in the west where it joins the national road DK 77.
The railway line from Bełżec to Przeworsk runs through the city.
Rzeszów-Jasionka International Airport is located about 80 kilometers to the southwest.
