Gollwitz is a district of the independent city of Brandenburg an der Havel in Brandenburg .

The place is east of the core city of Brandenburg on the Havel. South which runs B 1 , north flows Havel , north and west extending around the 796 ha large protected area Mean Havel .

history

Gollwitz is first mentioned as Golwitz in the Landbuch of the Mark Brandenburg from 1375 . The place name can be derived from a name for a bare forest.

On October 26, 2003 Gollwitz was incorporated into Brandenburg an der Havel together with Wust . Until the municipality was dissolved, Gollwitz belonged to the Emster-Havel office formed in 1992 .

From July 16 to 19, 2020, the fishing camp of the Twitch streamer Knossi took place in Gollwitz together with Sido .
