Goradze , Polish Górażdże , is a place in Upper Silesia . Goradze is located in the municipality of Gogolin in the Krapkowicki powiat (Krappitz district) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship .

Goradze is six kilometers north of Gogolin , nine kilometers northeast of the district town Krapkowice (Krappitz) and 16 kilometers south of the voivodeship capital Opole ( Opole ).

history

The place was first mentioned in 1297 as “Gorazdz” . In 1845, the Opole – Kandrzin railway line near Goradze was opened and has had a train station in Goradze since 1935.

In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 157 eligible voters voted to remain with Germany and 117 for Poland, in the Goradze manor district 28 people voted for Germany and 32 for Poland. Goradze remained with the German Empire . In 1933 there were 561 inhabitants. On September 26, 1935, the place was renamed Waldenstein . In 1939 the place had 634 inhabitants. Until 1945 the place was in the district of Groß Strehlitz .

In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration and was renamed Górażdże and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship . The church was built from 1984 to 1989. In 1999 the place came to Powiat Krapkowicki . On April 30, 2010, the place was also given the official German place name Goradze .
