The Goul is a river in France that runs in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Occitania regions. Its source is in the Monts du Cantal , in the Volcans d'Auvergne Regional Nature Park . It rises in the municipality of Saint-Clément , drains generally in a south-westerly direction and flows into the Truyère after 52 km at Couesques-Basses in the municipality of Saint-Hippolyte as a right tributary . On its way the Goul touches the Cantal and Aveyron departments .
