Goulolo is an East Timorese place, Aldeia and Suco in the Letefoho administrative office ( municipality of Ermera ).

1414 inhabitants (2015) live in Goulolo, of which 705 are men and 709 women. The population density is 89.1 inhabitants / km². There are 230 households in the Suco. Over 66% of the population name Tetum Prasa as their mother tongue. Over 32% speak Mambai , minorities Makasae or Kemak .

Before the 2015 territorial reform, Goulolo had an area of ​​11.55 km². Now there are 15.87 km². The Suco is to the north of the Letefoho administrative office. To the east is the Suco Eraulo , southeast of the Suco Ducurai and southwest of the Suco Haupu . To the northwest is the Ermera administrative office with its Sucos Raimerhei and Estado . The rivers Caraulun and Hatoe have their source in Suco Goulolo and flow westward into the border river to the Ermera administrative office. They are tributaries of the Lóis .

The overland road that connects the towns of Letefoho and Gleno leads across the Suco. The places Goulolo , Raipusa and Cailiti ( Kailiti ) are located on it. In the far west of the Sucos Goulolo is the village of Betorema and in the southeast the village of Goulala ( Gaulala , Gougala ). In addition to the one in Goulolo, there is also a primary school in Goulala.

The four Aldeias Beturema , Cailiti , Goulala and Goulolo are located in the Suco .

history

At the end of 1979 there was an internment camp for civilians in Goulolo, a so-called transit camp , which was set up by the Indonesian occupying forces.

politics

In the 2004/2005 elections , Miguel Soares was elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections , João de Deus won .
