Hatugau is an East Timorese place, Aldeia and Suco in the administrative office of Letefoho ( municipality of Ermera ).

The place

The place Hatugau is in the west of the Sucos, at an altitude of 1160  m . Here is a medical station and the primary school of Sucos, the Escoal Primaria No. 232 Hatugau .

1675 inhabitants (2015) live in Hatugau, of whom 809 are men and 866 women. The population density is 166.7 inhabitants / km². There are 314 households in the Suco. Almost 83% of the population name Mambai as their mother tongue. Almost 10% speak Kemak , over 5% Tetum Prasa and small minorities Sa'ane or Habun .

Before the 2015 regional reform, Hatugau had an area of ​​9.27 km². Now it is 10.05 km². The Suco is in the west of the Letefoho administrative office. To the east is the Suco Haupu and south of the Suco Catraileten . In the west Hatugau borders on the administrative office Hatulia with its Sucos Leimea-Sarinbalo and Coilate-Letelo and in the north on the administrative office Ermera with its Suco Raimerhei . The Meipu River and one of its tributaries form the border with Coilate-Letelo and Raimerhei. The Meipu belongs to the Lóis system .

In the north are the villages of Sauria and Hunda ( Honda ), in the west Hatugau , Cailiti ( Kailiti ) and Riaheu and in the east Rialau ( Rialaun ).

In the Suco there are the six Aldeias Cailiti , Hatugau , Hunda , Riaheu , Rialau and Sauria .

politics

In the 2004/2005 elections , Miguel M. Sarmento was elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections won Graciano Soares .
