Grüb is a part of the municipality Wettringen in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .

geography

The village is located in the valley of the Arzbacher Mühlbach ( called Waldhausener Mühlbach in the lower reaches ), a right tributary of the Wörnitz , surrounded by wooded elevations of the Schillingsfürst-Wettringer Hardt, which is part of the Frankenhöhe . In the northeast it is the Obergailnauer Forst, in the west the Hagen and in the south the Eichenschlag. The well field borders in the southwest.

The district road AN 16 leads to Arzbach (1.5 km east) or to Wettringen to the state road 2247 (2 km north-west). The community connection road leads to Theuerbronn (1.8 km southwest).

history

In 1800 there were six households in the place, three of which were subject to the imperial city of Rothenburg and three to the Margraviate of Ansbach .

With the community edict (early 19th century) Grüb was assigned to the tax district Erzberg and the rural community Wettringen.
