Gregg Johnson (born June 18, 1982 in Windsor , Connecticut ) is an American ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Houston Eros in the American Hockey League since 2009 .
Career
Gregg Johnson began his career on the hockey team at Boston University , for which he was active from 2000 to 2004 in the game operations of the National Collegiate Athletic Association . During this time, the center was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2001 in the eighth round as a total of 256th player by the Ottawa Senators , for which he never played. Towards the end of the 2003/04 season, Johnson made his professional ice hockey debut when he played six games for the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League , the Ottawas farm team . Also the following two seasons the left-shot was for Binghamton on the ice, where he completed only four AHL games in the 2004/05 season and played the rest of the season for Pee Dee Pride from the ECHL .
During the 2006/07 season Johnson was under contract with both the Trenton Titans from the ECHL and the two AHL clubs Norfolk Admirals and Bridgeport Sound Tigers . The following season the attacker began again with the Sound Tigers, but he moved to Europe during the season , where he was active for SaiPa Lappeenranta from the Finnish SM-liiga and the Frankfurt Lions from the German ice hockey league . At the beginning of the 2008/09 season , the American was committed to the DEL club Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg , where he played for a year.
He returned to the USA in summer 2009 and has since played for the Houston Eros in the AHL.
